September 30. is St. Jerome’s Day. On this day, we translators remember St. Jerome, an important Christian linguist, who died on September 30. in the year 420 in Bethlehem. His translations and edits of the Bible (from Hebrew, Latin and Greek) into spoken Latin are among the most important even up to the present; therefore he is considered to be the patron saint of all translators.
